their unlimited supports, limited edition Panerai Radiomir 1940 “Paneristi Forever” PAM 532 with only 500 pieces has launched in 2013. PAM 532 is the third one of this honor, with Panerai Luminor Marina PAM 195 (200 limited pieces) the first one for the third anniversary and Panerai Luminor “Paneristi” PAM 360 (300 limited pieces) the second one for the 10th anniversary.
PAM 532 preserves the historical Panerai appearance. Its Radiomir 1940 steel case is identical to the transitional one between the original Radiomir and Luminor cases. It consists of the same large 47mm diameter as the first Panerai prototype in 1936, while the cases of PAM 195 and PAM 360 have 44mm diameter. It is very special to be the first Panerai Radiomir 1940 watch to possess a matte black DLC case, creating an attractive classic style when compared to the black PVD case of previous PAM 195 and PAM 360. The back case was engraved with meaningful wording “Paneristi Forever” to illustrate the long-lasting connection between Paneristi and Panerai.
The black dial of PAM 532 features a representable “sandwich” construction with a small seconds subdial at the 9 o’clock position. The Arabic numerals and hour markers are made of luminous material, which creates a mysterious atmosphere at night. There is an image of a Siluro a Lenta Corsa, the “human torpedo”, which is travelled by the Italian Navy Commandos wearing Panerai equipment during underwater attack in the Second World War, in the 6 o’clock position. The same position of PAM 195 and PAM 360 was engraved with the Panerai “OP” logo.
