Mario Paci is an Italian strap brand for Panerai and all of its straps are made by Cuoierie Meccaniche Brelli, a workshop located in Firenze. Cuoierie Meccaniche Brelli was founded by Bruno Bartalucci in 1930. He started to learn craft by an artisan shoemaker when he was 12 years old. After he made the first waterproof leather strap for Panerai “Regia Marina Militare”, which is the prototype of Radiomir, in 1938, Cuoierie Meccaniche Brelli soon became the strap supplier of Panerai until 1997. After the significant year, Mario Paci (a well-known chief Engineering of Quality Assurance of Officine Panerai S.p.a before 1997) cooperated with Cuoierie Meccaniche Brelli to design, produce and quality control the leather straps for Panerai watches. Cuoierie Meccaniche Brelli is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of Mario Paci straps and continues the fine craftsmanship of Bruno Bartalucci.

Though time goes by, the decent standard of craftsmanship of Bruno Bartalucci sustains. The exquisite craft of MP straps, by no doubt, is the perfect combination of art and pragmatism.
